毛德华、马群、周兵兵组织完成的Landscape Ecology专辑顺利出版

“生态文明建设”和“可持续发展战略”已成为科技工作者广泛关注的新时代议题。近二十年来,坚持以人为本、聚焦人地关系、为可持续发展提供科技支撑的新兴学科—“可持续性科学”已日渐发展成为国际显学。景观作为区域发展的内在载体和外在表现,既是当前可持续发展和生态文明建设的重要热点,也是可持续性科学研究的关键尺度和核心对象。随着遥感、大数据等技术的不断发展,景观可持续性科学的相关理论、方法和应用研究对于可持续发展和生态系统的可持续管理等具有重要的科学指导意义。

以此为背景,中科院东北地理所毛德华副研究员、上海师范大学马群副研究员、亚利桑那州立大学周兵兵博士接受《Landscape Ecology》期刊的邀请,作为Guest Editor以“Sustainability of human–environment systems through the lens of landscape”为题组织专刊,以期推动以景观为视角的人与环境耦合系统的可持续性研究。专辑(Volume 35,Issue 11)共收录论文15篇,其中包括3篇综述论文,分别从土地系统科学、草地生态学、旱区社会生态学的角度展示了景观可持续性科学的发展前景;4篇案例研究论文聚焦城市化背景下的景观可持续性;5篇论文介绍了景观可持续性研究方法的新进展;最后3篇论文介绍了推进景观可持续性科学发展的不同视角。毛德华等为此专辑撰写了编者按“Sustainability of human–environment systems through the lens of landscape”。该专辑的顺利出版将进一步推介可持续性科学这一新兴学科,也可为人地耦合系统研究领域的相关学者提供新的思路和借鉴。

《Landscape Ecology》是景观生态学研究领域的旗帜期刊,重点关注对空间异质性的生态学理解。《Landscape Ecology》将生物物理学和社会经济科学的专业知识结合在一起,探索有关生态、保护、管理、设计与规划、以及人地耦合系统的景观可持续性的基础和应用研究问题。

东北地理所地理景观遥感研究团队曾于2019年6月主办了第一届“可持续科学青年研讨会”,来自国内外20余个科研单位相关领域的知名专家、青年学者及研究生近百人参加了研讨会。研讨会围绕“可持续性科学的概念、理论和方法”“景观可持续性与土地系统设计”“遥感与GIS等在可持续性研究中的应用”“区域发展与可持续性科学应用研究”四个议题开展了学术交流和讨论,并做出了组织此次正式出版的Landscape Ecology期刊专辑的决议。国际著名景观生态学与可持续性研究专家、第一届“可持续科学青年研讨会”大会主席、Landscape Ecology期刊主编、美国亚利桑那州立大学可持续性科学学院邬建国教授为Landscape Ecology期刊专辑的稿件组织给予了悉心的指导。
