A new method of maize through parthenogenesis induced by herbicide has been applied in breeding for breeding of maize inbred lines. This paper introduces and discusses the induction effect, induction mechanism, technical characteristics, ploidy and pseudo-strains problem, the special use of the technology, and the development potential of the technology were introduced and discussed in this paper, based on years of research and application practice.
