Maize stalk rot is a worldwide disease and seriously affects maize yieldSandSquality. In this overview, the distribution and influence of the diease, the classification and distributionSof the pathogen, the distribution and evaluation of the resistant germplasm, were summarized and discussed. Key attention was pay for the feature of quantitative inheritance, resistant gene and resistant mechanism of the diasese. At last, we gave our prospect for further research and application of quantitative resistance loci.
